Sportworks.io: AI Sponsorship Pitching for Sports Rights Holders

•By Joe Housley, Co-Founder

Sportworks.io is an AI platform for sports commercial teams. Rights holders such as clubs, leagues and governing bodies use it to create personalised sponsorship pitches, including branded mockups, activation images, videos and pitch decks, in minutes. It is built by Sportworks.io Limited in the UK and used by Reading FC, Aston Villa FC, Williams Racing and other rights holders (Sportworks.io customers).

Sportworks.io (sportworks.io) is not connected to Sportworks transit bus bike racks, the SportWorks co-working space in Lausanne or UK sports companies with similar names.

What is Sportworks.io?

Sportworks.io is AI sponsorship pitching software: it turns your own inventory photos and deck templates into pitch material personalised for each prospective sponsor. The company describes itself as the AI platform for sports commercial teams, powering how clubs prospect, pitch and manage partnerships (Sportworks.io).

Key facts:

  • Company: Sportworks.io Limited, based in the UK.
  • Co-founder and CEO: Joe (Joseph) Housley (fundraising announcement).
  • Investment: raised in March 2026 (amount and investors not disclosed), to go towards product, team, and new markets and sports.
  • Direction: the stated aim is to become the commercial operating platform for sports rights holders worldwide, covering the whole partnership lifecycle. That is an ambition, not a description of today's product.

Who is Sportworks.io for?

Sportworks.io is for the people who sell sponsorship at rights holders: partnership managers and commercial directors at clubs, leagues, governing bodies and federations, plus agencies working on their behalf (use cases).

Current customers are mainly in football and motorsport, plus rugby league. Rights holders shown on the site include Reading FC, Birmingham City FC, Aston Villa FC, Williams Racing, MotoGP (Sports Entertainment Group), Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, Werder Bremen, Burnley FC (where Sportworks.io is the official AI pitching partner), MK Dons and Sydney Roosters (Sportworks.io customers).

What problem does AI sponsorship pitching solve?

It removes the slow, manual work of making each pitch look specific to the brand receiving it. Vendors and commentators describe a largely manual process.

  • Decks and mockups are manual. Digideck, a presentation software vendor, says many sponsorship teams rely on PowerPoint, and that adding a prospect's logo to venue visuals can take hours of Photoshop work (Digideck). SponsorFlo, another vendor, describes a minor league baseball team that ran its sponsorship on Excel, PowerPoint and a shared email inbox (SponsorFlo).
  • Generic proposals are easy to spot. Sponsorship consultant Kim Skildum-Reid lists customisation among the things sponsors check, and says search-and-replace proposals are easy to spot (Power Sponsorship).
  • Buyers respond to visuals. Writing in JohnWallStreet, Shripal Shah, former chief strategy officer of the Washington Commanders, described an agency-built proposal for an emerging league that felt generic, and showed how generative AI could have improved it, with suggestions including mockups of partner branding, 3D renderings and animations (JohnWallStreet).
  • The industry expects more AI personalisation. In SportsPro's 2026 predictions, Octagon Europe's Laura Fairweather said 2026 partnerships need focused, inventive assets that take 2025's AI personalisation tools further, while Ten Toes' Michael Johnson cautioned that as brands lean on AI for quick creative work, audiences may grow more sceptical of sponsorship content, and that AI should speed up strategic and creative thinking, not replace it (SportsPro, January 2026).

That last point is worth keeping in mind. AI is good at producing the visuals quickly; deciding which brand to approach and why is still your job. Our guide on how to find sponsors covers that research.

MK Dons' Chief Commercial Officer put the practical benefit simply: "It lets us show a prospect exactly what their brand looks like on our inventory before they've even signed" (Sportworks.io customers).

How does Sportworks.io work?

You load your inventory photos, brand assets and existing deck templates once, then generate personalised pitch material for any brand you select. Onboarding covers that set-up with you (see pricing below).

A typical flow:

  1. Mock up the asset. Designs adds a sponsor's logo to, or removes existing branding from, kits, LED boards, stadium signage and social content. It builds mockups from your own inventory photos, with set logo placements and matching colour, sizing and perspective.
  2. Show an activation idea. Studio combines reference images (uploads, designs or past creations) with a written concept to create branded activation visuals in a chosen aspect ratio.
  3. Add motion. Video turns a Designs or Studio image into a short clip from a description, covering LED animations, apparel, broadcast graphics and social formats. It can also map existing ads onto LED screens.
  4. Build the deck. Decks turns an uploaded PowerPoint or PDF into a reusable template with linked image placeholders. Select brands and it builds personalised decks with visuals, inventory and pricing, exported to PPTX or PDF.
  5. Send and track. Deck sharing offers public, password-protected or email-gated links, an internal feedback link for your team, open notifications, per-viewer analytics (sessions and dwell time) and a slide-by-slide heatmap.
  6. Run it at scale. Scale, launched in May 2026, lets you select several brands or a whole industry and generate personalised pitch assets for every prospect in one run, with batch download and team sharing.

Hypothetical example: a football club pitching a regional car dealer

This is an illustration, not a real customer. Say the partnerships manager at a second-tier football club wants to approach a regional car dealership group. In Designs, she places the dealer's logo on the club's own LED board and sleeve photos. In Studio, she combines a matchday concourse photo with a written concept for a car display and test-drive sign-up, producing an activation image. Video turns the LED mockup into a short animated clip. Decks drops all three into the club's standard partnership deck, with the relevant inventory and pricing, and she sends it as an email-gated link. When the dealer's marketing lead opens it, she gets a notification and can see which slides held their attention before she follows up.

If she wants to pitch every motor dealer in the region that week, Scale produces a personalised set for each in one run. The structure of the proposal itself is covered in our guide on how to write a sponsorship proposal.

Showcase is coming soon and is not live. When it launches, it is designed to be sent instead of a pitch deck: the prospect walks through a 3D venue such as a stadium, sees their brand on the LEDs and other assets, and clicks through to the deck, the assets for sale, the price list and terms.

What does Sportworks.io not do?

Sportworks.io is a pitching tool today, not a sponsor management system. It does not currently include a CRM or sponsor pipeline, contract or inventory management, activation tracking, sponsor ROI reporting or a data proposition. Sponsor management and reporting are on the roadmap, but they are not in the product today.

In practice, you run Sportworks.io alongside whatever you use to track deals, such as a spreadsheet or CRM.

How much does Sportworks.io cost?

Sportworks.io costs from £299 a month for one seat to £3,199 a month for up to 25 seats, with custom plans above that (pricing).

PlanPrice per monthSeats
Starter£2991
Core£499Up to 3

Plans differ by seats and monthly generation limits. Every plan includes all current features, unlimited design templates, deck sharing insights, an account manager, priority support and 1-2-1 onboarding. Onboarding includes live team training, building your first design templates, loading your inventory, brand assets and deck templates, and quarterly check-ins.

What results does Sportworks.io report?

According to Sportworks' own aggregated client data, customers see 10x faster production, a 50% cost reduction, 3x more conversions and an average payback of under 30 days from first use (Sportworks.io customers). These are Sportworks' figures, not independent research, and the underlying data is confidential.

What customers say:

  • Reading FC's Chief Commercial Officer: "Sportworks.io has transformed efficiency in our partnership sales" (Sportworks.io customers).
  • Birmingham City FC's Head of Partnerships: "We can create personalised decks in minutes" (Sportworks.io, Decks).
  • RC Deportivo's Sponsorship Sales Manager said it reduces the time needed to design customised proposals for sponsors (Sportworks.io).

How does Sportworks.io compare with other sponsorship software?

Each tool does a different main job. The summary below uses each company's own description of itself. Prices are as published in October 2026, in the currency each site shows.

ToolMain job (self-described)SuitsPublished pricing
Sportworks.ioAI pitch creation: mockups, activation visuals, video, personalised decks, deck tracking, batch prospecting assetsRights holders and agencies who want personalised pitch creative built from their own inventory£299 to £3,199/month, custom above

SponsorFloAI sponsorship management software: prospecting, pipeline, decks, mockups, contracts, payments, renewals, ROI analyticsTeams, events, venues, nonprofits and creators selling their own inventory who want management in the same tool$299 to $799/month (self-serve plans); Enterprise from $2,700/month (12-month minimum)
SponsorPitchSponsorship sales platform: brand sponsorship data, decision-maker contacts and a marketplaceSellers who need prospect data and contactsFree plan; Prospector $39/user/month billed yearly ($54 monthly) up to Agency $221/team/month billed yearly ($334 monthly) (pricing)

If you need sponsor data and contacts, SponsorUnited or SponsorPitch fit that job. If you want CRM, contract, renewal and ROI features in the same tool, SponsorFlo offers those and Sportworks.io does not today. If interactive presentations are the priority, Digideck is built for that. Sportworks.io's strength is the pitch itself: personalised mockups, activation visuals, video and decks built from your own photos and templates.

The other common alternatives are PowerPoint or Canva, in-house designers and agencies. These work, but personalising for each new prospect usually means fresh design work. For a fuller review, see our sponsorship software guide.
